Brian Kubeck

Mr. Kubeck has over 15 years of experience in the energy and industrial sector. Mr. Kubeck was a member of the original Sithe Global team in 2004 and has development and project finance responsibilities for various Sithe Global projects around the world. Recently, Mr. Kubeck led the non-recourse project financing of the C$1.1 billion, 875MW Goreway Station in Ontario, Canada as well as working closely with Reservoir Capital on the IPO of the 160MW Cardinal facility (now the Macquarie Power Trust).

Before Sithe Global, Mr. Kubeck spent five years as Vice President of Herakles Capital, an investment and advisory firm created by Bruce Wrobel. While at Herakles, Mr. Kubeck was member of the small team that launched EnCom and the $4bn Guinea Alumina Company refinery project in West Africa. Encom, an independent power development company focused on private power opportunities in Japan, was sold in 2000.

Prior to Herakles Capital, Mr. Kubeck opened Sithe Energies' office in Manila, Philippines and helped Sithe Energies pursue power opportunities in Southeast Asia, /including playing a key role in the project financing of the $1.2 billion San Roque hydroelectric project in the Philippines.
