Hamsa Shadaksharappa
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Shadaksharappa joined Sithe Global as Chief Financial Officer in 2006. He has over fifteen years experience in the electricity and energy sectors focusing on project development, mergers and acquisitions and financial management. His current responsibilities /include the areas of accounting, treasury, budgeting and financial reporting.
Prior to joining Sithe Global, Mr. Shadaksharappa served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Texas Genco, prior to the sale of the company to NRG Energy in 2006 in a transaction valued at $ 8.3 billion. From 2001 to 2005, he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Indianapolis Power & Light, a 3000 MW integrated utility serving 450,000 electric customers. From 1994 through 2001, Mr. Shadaksharappa served in various international project management positions for The AES Corporation on projects and/or bids in India, Singapore, Australia, the Middle East and the United States. Before joining The AES Corporation, Mr. Shadaksharappa worked at Exxon Company USA and McKinsey and Company.
Mr. Shadaksharappa holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and a MBA from Harvard Business School.
