David Crouse has more than 25 years of experience in the energy
industry primarily in the design and construction of energy facilities. As Vice President
of Engineering and Construction, Mr. Crouse coordinates the efforts of a team of
consulting technical and project managers for Sithe Global projects in various stages of
development and construction including the 850 MW Goreway Combined Cycle facility in
Ontario, Canada.
Mr. Crouse recently returned to the Sithe team in 2006 after spending the previous five years
with DTE Energy Services (DTEES) as V.P. Engineering, Environmental & Construction. While at
DTEES, Mr. Crouse led a team of 19 technical specialists in the development and implementation
of energy projects including two GT peaker plants, four industrial energy facilities, eight
synthetic fuel (coal) preparation plants and development efforts for biomass and coal fired
power plant projects.
Prior to joining DTEES, Mr. Crouse spent nine years with Sithe Energies Inc. in various roles
including Project Engineer for several large combined cycle facilities and concluding as Vice President
of Construction and Program Manager for the 2400 MW Boston M501G combined cycle facilities. Mr. Crouse
also has extensive experience in the negotiation and management of large EPC Turnkey projects.
Prior to his work at Sithe, Mr. Crouse was a Project Manager for ESSCOR involved in various power facility
computer simulation development projects for utilities such as Con Ed and SCE.
Mr. Crouse began his career working at Solar Turbines where he assisted in the design of gas turbine
components and the development and operational testing of an advanced combined cycle system for the Navy.
Mr. Crouse received his B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley
and is a registered professional engineer and certified cogeneration professional.
